What is MHz Choice + Topic?
On April 1, 2024, MHz Choice and Topic are merging, creating one streaming service focused on the best international programming available in the U.S. and Canada. The combined services will operate as "MHz Choice" going forward.


All of MHz Choice and all of Topic now in one place -- MHz Choice.


What happens to the programs on Topic?

The vast majority of Topic programs will be moving over to MHz Choice on April 1, 2024. To continue watching your favorite Topic programs (AND get access to all of MHz Choice as well!) you will need to watch on MHz Choice. 


I subscribe to Topic. What happens to my subscription?

With some exceptions, Topic subscribers will have their subscriptions moved over to MHz Choice and the charge you will see on your billing statement will change to “MHz Choice.” Whether or not your Topic subscription will move over to MHz Choice depends upon how you are currently subscribed to Topic. Please review the information below for details. 


How do you currently subscribe to Topic?



Topic Direct - accounts created directly through our website

On April 1, 2024, your Topic direct subscription on watch.topic.com will automatically be canceled. Your subscription will be migrated over to watch.mhzchoice.com. To access your subscription on MHz Choice Direct, all you need to do is set a password on watch.mhzchoice.com and sign in. You do not need to re-enter your payment information.

  2. Enter the email address you previously used to subscribe to Topic
  3. Check your email for a link to sign in to your watch.mhzchoice.com account


Once you have signed in, please visit our Getting Started on MHz Choice guide.


We suggest deleting any Topic mobile or streaming apps you may have installed.



Topic Direct - accounts created through an app store (Amazon, Apple, Google, Roku)

Due to limitations set by app stores, we are not able to migrate your subscription over to MHz Choice. You will need to cancel your Topic subscription manually at the appropriate app store and resubscribe to MHz Choice. We are unable to cancel your subscription for you. Please click the link below for instructions on how to cancel your app store subscription.



Once you have canceled your Topic subscription through the appropriate app store, we suggest deleting any Topic mobile or streaming apps you may have installed.

Topic Direct - accounts created through Curiosity Stream

On April 1, 2024, your Topic direct subscription on watch.topic.com will automatically be canceled. Your subscription will be migrated over to watch.mhzchoice.com. To access your subscription on MHz Choice Direct, all you need to do is set a password on watch.mhzchoice.com and sign in. You do not need to re-enter your payment information.

NOTE: Smart Bundle subscribers will have access to MHz Choice through their next renewal date after April 1, 2024. All access to MHz Choice through the Curiosity Stream Bundle will end by April 1, 2025. 



Topic on Prime Video Channels

On April 1, 2024, your Topic on Prime Video subscription will be transferred to an MHz Choice on Prime Video subscription. Simply sign in to your Amazon Prime account as normal and the "MHz Choice + Topic" logo will be available in your list of channels. See new pricing details further down this page.



Topic on Apple TV+ Channels

On April 1, 2024, your Topic on Apple TV+ Channels subscription will be transferred to an MHz Choice on Apple TV+ Channels subscription. Simply sign in to your Apple TV+ account as normal and the "Topic is now MHz Choice" logo will be available in your list of channels. See new pricing details further down this page.



Topic on Cox Contour On-Demand

On April 1, 2024, Topic on Cox Contour On-Demand will be discontinued.

Topic on The Roku Channel (Premium Subscription)

On April 1, 2024, your Topic on The Roku Channel subscription will be transferred to an MHz Choice on The Roku Channel subscription. Topic on Xfinity X1 On-Demand

On April 1, 2024, your Topic on Xfinity X1 On-Demand subscription will be transferred to an MHz Choice on Xfinity X1 On-Demand subscription. Simply sign in to your Xfinity X1 account as normal and look for the MHz Choice logo in your list of available on-demand channels. See new pricing details further down this page.



Topic on YouTube Primetime & YouTube TV

On April 1, 2024, Topic YouTube Primetime & YouTube TV will be discontinued.

Will the price of my subscription change?

On April 1, 2024, Topic customers who have their subscriptions migrated to MHz Choice will see the following price changes:


Topic subscribers in the U.S.

  • Monthly subscriptions will increase from $5.99/mo. USD to $7.99/mo. USD
  • Annual subscriptions will increase from $59.99/yr. USD to $79.99/yr. USD


Topic subscribers in Canada*

  • Monthly subscriptions will increase from $5.99/mo. USD to $9.99/mo. CAD
  • Annual subscriptions will increase from $59.99/yr. USD to $99.99/yr. CAD 


*Please note the currency change for subscribers in Canada.


MHz Choice subscribers in the U.S.

  • Monthly subscriptions will remain $7.99/mo. USD
  • Annual subscriptions will decrease from $89.99/yr. USD to $79.99/yr. USD


MHz Choice subscribers in Canada.

  • Monthly subscriptions will remain $9.99/mo. CAD
  • Annual subscriptions will decrease from $111.99/yr. CAD to $99.99/yr. CAD


PRO TIP: If you’re currently a monthly subscriber on MHz Choice and you want to switch to annual billing, we suggest you wait until AFTER April 1st so that you can take advantage of the reduced annual rate. 


Please note: the MHz Choice annual rate is not currently available on Amazon Prime, Apple TV+, Cox Contour, The Roku Channel, Xfinity X1 or YouTube.
