Heder is representing a young girl, Isabel, who has been raped by a man she has met on several occasions. We understand that he has been paying for sex from her. He ends up acquitted by the court, so Heder turn to a journalist who they think might be able to help them get the evidence they need to overturn the verdict. CA has been working on a scoop about a sex ring involving highly prominent people and the lawyers of Heder wonder if Isabel could have been a part of it.

Heder have always made a point of representing victims and not defending those accused of violent crimes themselves. But now they find themselves in a difficult situation - are they to become defence lawyers now? And did Isabel even really murder CA? She claims that he tried to rape her, but Heder, and above all Janni, find this hard to believe. Nour, who lives alone, is attacked one night at home. A hooded assailant follows her to her apartment. The hooded figure drops a note and leaves.

Karin finds that someone has vandalised her apartment scratching the number 1991 in to the front door. When Nour reveals that the note left by her attacker contained lyrics to a hit song from the same year, all four start to see that someone knows about a secret that they have kept since their days at university. The prosecutor in CA’s murder case, Pierre, also seems to have some connection to 1991, and the Heder team discuss whether it is possible that he is the one that leaked their secret.

Elin is looking in to the app - NEAT - but suddenly it disappears from Sandra’s phone. She calls Charlie, a young male sex worker they know. He doesn’t want to help at first but after he is violently attacked by a client he calls Elin back and says he has changed his mind. It emerges that Janni was injected with heroin and now under the influence of the drug she mentions “Jamal” as she mumbles in her sleep. We see now that she also had her hand stamped with the logo from a nightclub.

The attempt to set up a meeting with “Pierre” is sabotaged when Jamal is also attacked with a heroin needle. The four lawyers are back to square one. Elins further research on the app leads to the company that developed it, Atlas Unshrugged, a business owned by a pro-prostitution campaigner and famous opponent of Nour, Erik Asp. After a reconstruction of CA’s murder it emerges that Isabel couldn’t have killed him, and she finally admits that she has been forced to take the blame.

Charlie is followed by threatening men in the street and calls Elin to get help, but even bigger news is to come. It emerges that Isabel has hanged herself while in police custody. But it quickly becomes clear that she didn’t do it herself, nor willingly. NEAT is now freely threatening and even murdering people to protect its business - but getting away with it. The app must have connections inside the police. Heder, feeling terrible about not protecting Isabel, return to Vesna.

Janni and Elin, with Karin’s help, manage to get away from a group of masked men that appear outside the server hall. Clearly NEAT are on to them and know who they are. Elin orders a security team to pick up her family and bring them to the Heder office where they can be under protection together. Matteo also comes to the office to offer protection, seeing a suspicious car outside that is monitoring everything that is happening. Meanwhile, Nour is once more debating Erik Asp on a televised panel.

Elin’s family and the four lawyers are at the Heder office, when tear gas grenades burst through the windows. Everyone runs in to the panic room but Micke doesn’t follow them in. Now locked inside, everyone is terrified for what will happen to him. But when they look on the CCTV cameras they see someone pass him a gas mask, and they start searching the office - looking for the hard disk from the server hall. The penny finally drops that Micke is the police insider at NEAT.
