Robert Kastell returns to Sweden after having been presumed dead for thirty years. A personal tragedy has made him leave his exile, and sent him on a last journey of revenge - - the target being the successful arms trade broker Anders Spetz.Robert is soon discovered by Rolf Höglund, a conspiracy theorist and former journalist. Rolf tries to persuade Robert to focus on exposing the double standards and illegal deals behind the Swedish arms industry, rather than his personal vendetta.

The simple revenge Robert saw before him has turned out to be significantly more complex. At the party he managed to see Anders together with the infamous weapons broker David Hatch and understands that what Rolf said might be true: something is about to happen involving Anders Spetz and weapons manufacturer Sandersvik. He decides to meet Rolf and to join him and try to get his revenge that way. Robert’s only contact from his old life, weapons dealer Marianne, is skeptical to his new plan.

Past, Present and Future

Åsa’s unpleasant experience in the forest, coupled with the fact that someone has broken into her father’s apartment in addition to shooting a police officer, convinces her that there is something else other than a binge behind her father’s disappearance. She gets her hands on a security tape that can give her answers because on the tape are the last pictures of her father. To her disappointment he’s clearly under the influence when he gets into a car with a man she doesn’t recognize.

Someone Will Pay

It is now clear that it is Hammarlund that has kidnapped Rolf and is pressuring him for information. To his great frustration Rolf refuses to talk. Åsa seeks help from Jens trying to sort out the material she found in her father’s storage unit and together they find a suspect - Berger - who they think might be involved with Rolf’s disappearance. When Åsa looks him up it’s clear he can’t help her, but she sees someone else she recognizes who also looked up Berger in the same matter: Hammarlund.

Mario understands that the reality is even darker than what Åsa has tried to tell him. Together Åsa and Mario decide to run away with their daughter. Robert finds out where Rolf’s material is, and promises to show his gratitude by getting the ones responsible for the death of Åsa’s father. He’s helped by Jens, who finds out what’s happened and what a scoop it is. He convinces Robert that he needs his help to make the exposure as great as possible. Johanna’s illness is getting worse.

Johanna goes to Sandersvik and confront Anders: why hasn’t he told her that her father is alive? A pressured Anders manages to convince her he did it all for her. Robert is evil and wants to hurt them. He didn’t want to worry her due to her sickness, and that’s the truth behind it all. Johanna believes his explanation and wonders if all the secrets are out now. Johanna brings the bookkeeping to her only friend in Sandersvik, the economy assistant Rafaela.

The police manage to catch Hammarlund after a warrant for his arrest went out, and they arrest him for the murder of Rolf. He has his lawyer contact Anders, as the only way to get him out. In Sandersvik David Hatch is trying to push for a positive response by exposing the truth about Maggie’s affair with her Swedish colleague. It turns out their relationship isn’t a secret at all; the failed threat makes her do the opposite, she turns the deal down. Anders realizes Hatch’s methods won’t work.

Cannot Be Undone

The consequences of the politicians’ involvement is dire. Robert and Åsa’s secret headquarters is guttedl, Jens is missing and Hammarlund is getting out of custody. Robert asks Åsa to hide his stash of guns, and goes to retrieve the USB stick so they can publish it all to Åsa’s co-worker’s website. Robert gets to Jens’ office and sees that he has betrayed them. He manages to pull Jens aside and after a hard interrogation gets him to admit that there is a copy of the USB stick.
